Cranked is a training log. It needs very little about you, and it asks for very little.

What you can do without giving us anything

You can open Cranked and log a complete workout without creating an account, without an email address and without a name. Everything you type is stored on your own phone first. If you never sign up, it never leaves it.

What we hold if you create an account

An account exists for two reasons: so your history follows you to a new phone, and so your lifts can appear on the Global Ledger. If you create one we hold:

What we do not do

Measurement

We count things — how many people open the app, how many finish a workout, which screens people give up on. This is how a small product works out what to fix. Those counts are attached to an anonymous identifier rather than to your name, and they do not include what you lifted.

Two sets of counts exist. The first is ours, held in our own database alongside your workouts. The second is Google Analytics 4, a measurement service provided by Google, which runs on this website and inside the app. It records which pages were opened, the type of device, and whether a download link was tapped. We do not use it to build advertising audiences and we do not send it your email address or your lifts. Google describes what it does with this data in its own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

Your account details and your workouts are stored with third-party cloud hosting and database providers acting on our instructions. They process the data to keep the service running and for no other purpose.

The Global Ledger, and being compared to other people

Cranked's whole point is to place your numbers next to other people's. Today the Global Ledger shows recent completed sessions. We intend to go further: in future, sets logged by people with accounts may be ranked against other people's sets on the same movement, grouped by things like bodyweight and age band.

If that happens, what may be visible to other users is the movement, the weight, the repetitions and the display name on your account. Your email address is never shown, and never will be. Using Cranked without an account keeps you out of it altogether, and deleting your account removes your sets from those comparisons. The Terms say the same thing in more detail.

Deleting everything

You can delete your account from inside the app, in Settings. It removes your account and the workouts attached to it. It is not a request queue — it happens.

If you would rather someone did it for you, write to support@3degrees.app from the address you signed up with.
